I have been making this chili recipe for close to 2 years and every time I do, Cole always say how good it is. I have also made this for several parties or get togethers with friends and everyone always enjoys it ! It’s a little spicy (not too much) I’m not a big fan of extremely spicy stuff but this is totally delicious.
I personally like it because it is quick and easy and it is perfect for a cold night. I typically make it with grilled cheese for a little something extra.
The recipe makes a ton for the two of us so I have a lot leftover to either freeze or eat for the next few days (which we don’t mind because it’s so good!)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb sausage ( I use hot Italian but you could use regular to make it less spicy)
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 clove of garlic pressed
- 3 cans diced tomatoes
- 2 cans red kidney beans ( drained and rinsed)
- 1 can beef broth
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 2 TBSP brown sugar
- 2 TBSP chili powder
- 2 TBSP worsterchire
- Red pepper flakes as desired
1.) Fry burger and sausage until cooked, drain fat. Add onions and garlic and sauté until cooked.
2.) Add all of the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
3.) Reduce heat and simmer for 25 minutes. Serve with cheese and sour cream if desired.
Like I said, it’s delicious and easy with just the right amount of spice to warm you up on cold night !
